Heineken Experience

If there's a beer-lover in your group, the Heineken Experience is a must-see when you're visiting the Netherlands. Located right in Amsterdam, the Heineken Experience is a self-guided tour that lets you interact with the world of Heineken. You'll get to learn all about the brewing company and the four natural ingredients that go into the popular beer. Visitors will get to experience the brewing process, a Heineken tasting room and discover more about the brand itself.

The Heineken Experience had its beginnings as the Heineken Treat and Information Centre when it opened to the public for brewery tours in 1991. The brewery was initially built in 1867 and was Heineken's primary brewing facility until a larger, newer facility was built outside of Amsterdam. The Heineken Experience quickly became a popular tourist attraction and recently underwent an update that transformed the brewery into four unique levels of historical artifacts, interactive exhibits and, of course, beer sampling.

If you decide to enjoy the Heineken Experience when you're visiting the Netherlands, you'll notice the connection with beer-making and brewing that you'll probably feel as you go through the exhibits.
